Free to Love (The Pronoun Song)
Social
Harnessing the magic of puppets, we wrote, directed, and recorded an original song to promote LGBTQ allyship in the workplace.
Creating content that celebrated love was a great opportunity. It’s one of the projects I’m most proud of.

We recruited LGBTQ friends across RPA to voice and puppeteer our little guys. Indigo was puppeteered by yours truly.
The Fur & Felt
We designed this kooky cast of characters. Indigo and Loretta were kindly hand-crafted by a friend while we stitched and hot-glued the sock puppets.
Indigo
A lover of music and rhinestones, Indigo is inspired by the all-accepting Dolly Parton and proudly wears the trans pride colors in their fur.
With a wide head and gangly arms, there is nothing about them that says they’re any gender. They just are.
Loretta
Named for the sparkling Loretta Lynn, this girl’s the new puppet in town.
While she considers herself an ally, she hasn’t met nonbinary puppets like Indigo. She wants to use her new friend’s pronouns correctly but is nervous about getting them wrong.
All she needs is some musical encouragement.
Chorus
Our sock puppet backup singers represented the pride flags. We wanted to make each character as silly and special as we could.

The Allyship Agenda
We supplemented The Pronoun Song with an actionable, positive spin on the legendary gay agenda.
