Some of my favorite projects have been internal. We have a little more fun when we write for ourselves.

Introducing Indigo

A lover of music and rhinestones, Indigo is inspired by the all-accepting Dolly Parton and proudly wears the trans pride colors in their fur.

With a wide head and gangly arms, there is nothing about their body that says “masculine” or “feminine.” They just are.

Indigo was designed by us and custom-made for the project.

The Chorus

A kooky chorus of handmade sock puppets repping a rainbow of pride flags.

The Allyship Agenda

We supplemented The Pronoun Song by sharing easy action items from our LGBTQ ERG — a positive spin on the oft-heard gay agenda.

Free to Love (The Pronoun Song)

Harnessing the magic of muppets, we wrote, directed, and recorded an original song to promote allyship in the workplace.

The Song

We recruited LGBTQ friends and allies across the agency to voice and puppeteer the little guys. Indigo was puppeteered by yours truly, and the star of the show was AD Juniper Brower.

Because social and political pressures keep bearing down on the community, creating something that expressed joy and celebrated love was huge.

Lovable Loretta

Loretta is just getting to know Indigo and while she’s always considered herself an ally, she hasn’t met any nonbinary puppets.

She wants to use her new friend’s pronouns correctly but is nervous about getting them wrong.

All she needs is a little practice and some musical encouragement.

A Very Merry Adsmas, Vol. 1

One special holiday season, RPA gave the ad industry the gift of music. By that, of course I mean we wrote, sang, and produced an ‘80s holiday music compilation. This is A Very Merry Adsmas, Vol. 1.

The Promo

It’s not a compilation CD without a bizarre infomercial, and we made just the thing. Complete with floating heads, a scrolling track list, and pure ambiance, this video went up on RPA’s socials to tease the album drop.

The Record

Adsmas landed in the inboxes of industry peeps around the country like a raccoon scuttling into the holiday party. (Uninvited, but weirdly endearing.)

The whole deal had a landing page on RPA’s site, as well as exclusive vinyl pressings for any trades we really wanted to impress, and best of all, it’s eternally available for streaming on Spotify.

More, More, More Content

RPA is known for its high retention rate, kind company culture, and positive attitude. With that in mind, we created a ton of fun social content to promote the agency and share laughs within it.

btw,

these are my hands. I wore the same hoodie for 3 days for the sake of continuity. On the upside, I think I could have a niche side hustle in food lettering someday.

This collection of IG Story stickers was a labor of love for my AD, who grew up in Seoul. We made these inspired by a discussion with our AAPI ERG about what they wanted to represent. It was clear: Unapologetic pride in their culture.
